Amy
was bred by Lynn
Keegan from the Malynncastle kennels. She has
a lovely temperament and has plenty of spirit. From the day we brought Amy home as an 8 week old puppy
she's always been very fond of her Great Uncle Harvey and
the two are always together
either
sleeping or playing.
Amy achieved her
Bronze Kennel Club Good Citizen Award at 5 months, her Silver
at 17
months and her gold at 2½ years old. She has been showing
since she was 6 months old and at her very first show she achieved
Best Puppy in Breed and went on to take a 4th in the Puppy Working
group.
She qualified for
Crufts
in 2008 & 2009 & 2011, sadly missing Crufts in 2008 due
to being in season but in 2009 she got a 3rd in the Good
Citizen Bitch class. In 2011 she was unable to attend Crufts being out of coat after having had her second litter.
Amy is shown by Philippa
but worked by Mervyn in carting, obedience and agility. 2009 was her first carting year and at her
first carting
competition she got a 3rd in the Beginners Carting and passed.
She finished the year having passed her Beginners Carting three
times and moved up to Intermediate level, she finished the year as 2nd Overall Beginners Carting Dog 2009. In 2010 Mervyn worked Amy on three intermediate caring courses getting a 1st, 2nd & 3rd and finished the year winning the Intermediate carting dog 2010. She is now an Advanced Carting Dog and starts her 2011 carting season in a strong position. She has a calm working
attitude and shows great promise for the future
in the various working areas, namely; carting, obedience and
agility. She has won many classes at Championship and Open shows but prefers to work than show so is now only lightly shown.
Amy
had her first litter of puppies at a little over 2½ years
old on 1st November 2009, sired by Champion Jaybiem
UTwo JW SHCM. Amy proved to be an excellent Mother putting everything
into her puppies and nothing on herself. Pictured (Left) is Amy
at 8 weeks in whelp. She had eight puppies, five females & three
males.
Being only a small bitch we were amazed that she naturally whelped
eight
lovely sized puppies with super markings and that she was carrying
so many. As the puppies were born so near to Halloween the litter
is known as the Halloween litter with all the puppy's Kennel
Club names being related to Halloween. We kept two of her puppies; Merlin (Pasturegreen Trick or Treat) & Katie (Pasturegreen Bewitched) who started their show careers in May 2010. At Katie's first four Big shows, she took Best Puppy in Breed, Best Puppy in Show and Reserve Best Puppy in Breed & Best Puppy in Breed. Her brother has also taken Reserve Best Puppy in Show and Best Puppy in Breed and both have qualified for Crufts 2011 and have their Bronze & Silver Good Citizen Kennel Club Awards which they gained at six months & eight months along with several of their litter mates.
On the 2nd December 2010 Amy whelped her second litter at 3½ years of age this time producing nine fantastic puppies sired by Goodboy Van't Stokerybos. Five Males & Four girls this one we kept just one Girl who we've called Anna. Anna will start her show career come June 2011. Amy's second litter is known as the Snow Litter as they were born when we had a large amount of snow. All the puppies Kennel Club names are Pasturegreen Snow something, with our Anna being Pasturegreen Snow White.
