Millie was bred by
Julie Baldwin from the Fortonpark kennels near Blackpool. She has
a lovely temperament and loves nothing more than playing with her
Great Uncle Harvey and digging holes.
We have had Millie
since she was 8 weeks old and from then she has been socialised extensively. Even before she was fully inoculated she visited many members of
the family in their own homes and she travelled everywhere with us
in the van. She is a lovely bitch showing great
promise for the
future and has a fair amount of lively spirit about her.
Millie is related to
our Amy on her Mother Dolly's side as she and Amy share the same
Father CH Fortonpark It's Otto JW, making Amy, Millie's half Auntie.
Millie is also related to our Harvey also though her Mother's side
as both her Grandmothers; CH Fortonpark Frankly My Dear & CH Fortonpark
Frankly My Love were from the same litter as Harvey's Father CH Fortonpark
Frankie Goes To Meadowpark, therefore making Harvey, Millie's great
Uncle.
Millie started her show career at the end of January 2010, she took Best Puppy in Breed three times, Best AV Working Puppy, G4 Working Puppy and won many classes during her first show year and was never unplaced. At Millie's very first Championship show she won her puppy class and qualified herself for Crufts 2011. At three championship shows in a row the only bitch to beat her was our Katie.
Millie showed a great deal of promise for her first show year and her second year didn't disappoint, taking two 1st's at Crufts 2011 and in turn qualifying herself immediately for Crufts 2012. Millie's second show year saw her winning almost every Championship class she was entered for. Even though Millie can be highly spirited in the ring she just loves every minute of being a show dog and just gets better and better the more laps of the ring the judge asks of her.
The only down side about Millie is that she can be rather silly, she is a super Bernese, very beautiful with a lovely thick coat, striking markings and super bone, she has a wonderful sweet temperament but she just needs to be a little less over excited when she's showing, the trouble is that Millie just loves life a little too much! A very loyal loving dog that is always glued to Philippa's side when out on a walk.
Millie picked up her Stud Book Number at almost 4 years old and qualified herself for Crufts for life. She has been a big winner in the show ring for years and took Best Bitch and Reserve Best in Show at the Central BMDC Open show in 2015.
